This add‑on uses momentary press wall‑plate switches, allowing your existing lights to behave like smart lights without changing how your home looks or feels. It enables features such as dimming standard downlights (where the lights support dimming) and tailoring lighting behaviour to your personal preferences.
Lighting can be automated based on:
- Schedules
- Sunrise and sunset, including custom offsets
- Your daily routines and usage patterns
When paired with the Home Alarm add‑on, the system becomes even smarter. Using motion and presence detection, lights can automatically turn on or off based on:
- Occupancy
- Ambient light levels in the room
This not only improves convenience and comfort, but also helps reduce unnecessary energy usage, allowing the home to quietly work for you in the background.
Beyond lighting, the enhanced switching capability allows wall switches to control almost any connected smart device in a room. Momentary press switches can be configured to trigger different actions, including:
